I have tried to show how the industry improved over the years, especially when it changed from horse power to locomotive power. The railway system is not like a 'Beckton Gas Works' large layout but overall, with four locomotives (bought from new) and two hired locomotives, it managed to cope with the growing demand for gas within Oxford City confines and its surrounds.
